Early mornings on the beach will find most of the volleyball courts full with practicing weekend athletes . . . the blue / gray mountains in the distance serve as a perfect background to the sandy playing fields. Concentration is intense, with all competitors eyeing the cool Pacific Ocean just yards away as they hit the colorful balls back & forth over the net. Bright reds, radiant yellows, brilliant blues - all add to the dazzling seascape. . . in fact, one can almost hear the melodious carny music playing from the adjacent Pier.
