Growing up by the sea meant that many of my memories take place on the beach, where I still seek comfort today. During the process of working at my first painting Resurrection, I traveled by bike every day through the dunes to my studio where the flora of the dunes and the power of the sea spoke to me. It was the first time that I noticed the beauty of it all. I understood that the foundation of my being is the connection with mother nature. We are all one.
