Gazing at this painting, my mind drifts to memories of a peaceful evening. An evening perhaps along a quiet lake as the fine mist of the night begins to gently roll in. The quietness is like a blanket to surround you with calm thoughts. The whispering of the leaves is almost hushed. The evening is still, shadowy and sweet. 

Evenings can be such a peaceful time where your work is done for the day and now you can relax and cherish the softness of the coming night. Evenings are your chance to forget the mistakes you made during the day and settle your mind for rest. It is that peaceful moment where the horizon is fading, but the not yet darkened world seems infinitely greater—a moment when anything can happen, anything is believed in.
